The speakers for this year’s Blogfesores will be James Groom and Heather Morrison, well-known in the area of open access. Here are brief bios and links to more information about them.

James Groom
James Groom
James Groom is an Instructional Technology Specialist and adjunct professor at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He has been working for over a decade in education with a consistent focus on the development of teaching and learning in higher education. In addition to his extensive experience teaching at the college level, for the past four years he has worked primarily in the field of instructional technology (see work experience).

Heather Morrison
Heather Morrison
Heather Morrison is a well-known open access advocate, librarian / provincial project coordinator, and Adjunct Faculty member at the University of British Columbia’s School of Library, Archival, and Information Studies, where she has developed and taught courses on open access and scholarly communications. Heather is currently working on a book, Scholarly Communications for Librarians, to be published by Chandos Publishing in 2009.
