Funding Opportunities for the Humanities & Social Sciences 2008-09

The American Council of Learned Societies was founded in 1919 to advance humanistic studies in all fields of learning in the humanities and related social sciences and to maintain and strengthen relations among the national societies devoted to such studies. Organized as a private, nonprofit federation of 70 national scholarly organizations, ACLS is the pre-eminent representative of humanities scholarship in the United States. Awarding peer-reviewed fellowships to individuals is at the core of ACLS activity.  Click on the link to access the 2008-09 ACLS Competitions:http://www.acls.org/uploadedFiles/Fellowships_and_Grants/0809_ACLS_Competitions.pdf
