The Internal Competition Process for the DOD Program for HBCU/MI’s ended last Thursday, August 28, 2008.  Eleven (11) letters of intent were received.  UPRM is allowed to submit only two proposals.   The researchers whose projects were selected to compete on behalf of UPRM are:

Dr. Samuel Hernandez, Chemistry: “Laser Enhanced detection of weapons of mass destruction”

Dr. David Suleiman, Chemical Engineering: “Supercritical CO2-assisted Fluoroelastomeric Nanostructured Membranes for Fuel Cells and Sensor Applications”
