When you begin to watch the film of “The Thief of Baghdad you can tell immediately that it is an old production by the color, movements, and no-audio that is given to the audience. The film reminds me a bit of the Disney production of Aladin, since their seems to be a similarity of location and theme since both protagonist are thieves. It is very interesting the way they used humorin the beginning of film, I found it even more humoristic the way they did it back then rather than now. I realized that hey had many different scenograghy, my favorite was the one that had all the pots and vases when the people were chasing the thief and was hiding in the vases. I imagine that it must have cost tons of dollars to be able to do those scenographies back then, since they had many details especially the one of the princess’s castle. I realized that in the movie no one was talking but in between the film there would be notes presented so that the audience would be able to know what was happening in the film. Without those notes it would be a little bit more complicated to understand the film, so it plays a pretty important role. They also handed time with lights. When it was morning they would turn the light on in a very bright way, and when it was night they would turn the light down, until it would be almost a blueish color. The mood of the movie was set by music, so that way if there wouldn’t be any notes of what was going on you would realize it with the musics rhythm.
