Associate Dean of Assessment
& Educational Technologies
Universidad de Puerto Rico

Dear Mr. Flores:

I thoroughly enjoyed the Google it!: Enhancing your Courses with Google Apps presentation you gave on Saturday, June 11, 2011. I thank you for taking the time to spend the day with us and deliver all the information needed to utilize the applications provided by Google.

Your seminar provided an excellent forum for us to ask questions and practice what you were teaching. I commend you on assessing the needs of your audience and being able to meet them. I look forward to sharing it with several friends who were unable to attend and recommending you for future workshops.

Thank you again for such an informative and pleasant seminar.

Sincerely,

Vanessa Sánchez-Negrón
Executive Secretary

I'm really exited for this class, I couldn't believe it when I saw the flyer. Its my favorite genre, in literature, movies, and art. I'm really looking fwd. to it. I'm a little scare because of the spot en la matricula. But I will try! because I really want to take the course.

Don't worry: the amount of reading will be substantial, but not unmanageable. And definitely fun. . .

I am looking foward to this class. It scares me a little that we will have a LOT to read, but is kind of challenging. I've always been attracted by this genre, not only in movies, but also in literature. I hope I can get a spot on this class.

Thanks for the compliment on the Web site. We have a talented young "techie," Dan, who has applied his artistry nicely to the site. Keep visiting us: the improvements are just beginning.

As for allowing professors to have their own Web pages, that has always been "allowed," so to speak. The university provides practically unlimited space for all faculty to have their own Web sites. There is a new blog server at the university that also provides excellent blog hosting through Wordpress software. The URL is http://blogs.uprm.edu and you can apply for an account anytime and create as many blogs as you need. As far as the department is concerned, we will be creating an official page for every faculty member that provides basic and official information (office, extension number, office hours, committee assignments, etc.) updated on a semester-by-semester basis. We can also assess and help faculty in creating Web sites, of course.
