Course Coordinator

Dr. Mary E. Sefranek is currently the Course Coordinator of INGL 3103/3104 and has held this position since the Fall of 2006.  Course Coordinators are the primary individuals charged with oversight of multi-section courses. They are responsible for consistency across all sections of the course and for supporting faculty and teaching assistants in their teaching and maintenance of standards across the sections of the course. As Course Coordinator for 3103/3104, Dr. Sefranek’s particular responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating meetings of all course instructors once monthly
  • Submitting monthly course coordination minutes to the Director of the Department
  • Selecting and ordering text books in consultation with course instructors
  • Distributing texts, master syllabi, and sample syllabi to all course instructors
  • Sharing teaching materials and resources
  • Collaboratively selecting final exam readings and crafting questions with course instructors
  • Writing semester and annual reports to the Director of the Department
  • Addressing any questions or concerns course instructors may have in relation to 3103/3104
