Conference Venues

The conference will be held at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez (UPRM). Located on the west coast of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez is a major college town, with many restaurants and pubs catering to the 14,000 students at the UPRM. The university campus is walking distance from the downtown area (el pueblo, as it’s known locally), which is renowned for colonial architecture and picturesque squares. There are excellent beaches nearby in Rincón—the surfing capital of the Caribbean—and Cabo Rojo, which are a short drive from town. While there is direct transportation to Mayagüez from area airports (taxis and públicos), renting a car is strongly recommended.
